As a visual artist, I work in the performing arts as a lighting designer and maker, primarily in an ongoing collaboration with Bosse Provoost. My practice centers on light and light-based scenography.
I actively engage with the dynamics of spectatorship and the theater as a dispositif. The physical rigging, fixtures, and theater mechanics are reframed as scenographic elements—or even as autonomous, active performers.
I am fascinated by the manipulative / hypnotic qualities of light within a theater space. I often manipulate temporal perception through minimal, slow light shifts. Liminal perception, darkness, and color spectrums are core pillars of my practice.
